Rhema Life

Rhema Life

Whatever your background or age we have a wide range of groups designed to support and connect with you as you journey through life.

Our Sunday services and other events are complemented by Sign Support provision to ensure that those who are deaf or hard of hearing are fully included so that they can experience God and grow in the knowledge of His love.

Once a month, the Rhema Prison Ministry team visit one of the South London Prisons, praying with the inmates and touching their lives through sharing the love of God.

Whether you are new to Rhema or have been here for some time… there is always something to get involved in! If you would like to be involved complete the volunteer application form. You must have attended RCL for 6 months or more.

Rhema Life Magazine - Editor's message

My goal is to share with readers the life of Rhema London, be it ministry life, social life, prayer life or generally the challenges of life. I hope this bi-annual magazine informs, inspires and challenges. I believe that we are a church that is socially significant and going places with God. It is great to share good news about what’s going on but occasionally we need to challenge the things we do in our daily lives. Could we be doing it better or differently?

Audio Visual Team

The Audio Visual team are responsible for setting up, operating and packing up the sound, lighting and visual aspects of the church. As well as the Sunday service, we support a number of events around the year such as the WOW conference, Christmas Productions, RISE events and Youth Camp. The only requirement for joining the team is a commitment to a rota system of two weeks on duty, two weeks off. You don’t need any previous technical knowledge, but if you do, it is an advantage. We train and develop people within the team to operate the sound, lighting and video for Sunday service and other events. To join the team email Patrick at technical@rhema.co.uk

Ushers and Hostesses Team

The Ushers, Hostesses and Greeters serve God by serving our church. We help to create an atmosphere where people feel welcome, loved and relaxed. Everyone who attends our church, regularly or not, regardless of colour, class or background, is greeted with genuine warmth, love & kindness. We help to bring order to the service by helping things run smoothly, for example; seating the congregation; collecting the offering or catching people who fall under the power of God. We also prevent disturbances from arising that may interrupt the flow of the service. We welcome you to come as you are. You must have been a regular attendee of Rhema Church London for at least 6 months and be committed to working as part of a team in serving others. You will also be required to attend team meetings, training and socials. To join us speak to Patrick Zulu or email ushers@rhema.co.uk Training is offered "On the job". We have meetings twice a year and socials occasionally.

Signing Team

We are a lively and enthusiastic team that welcomes people with any level of hearing loss into our Church family. We provide access to the service every Sunday, and believe that members of our deaf community should have access to all areas of Church life. Wherever and whenever possible, members of our team will attend other events during the week to ensure that our deaf community are able to take part in all the Church has to offer, whether it is serving as part of a ministry team or attending an event. We believe that God’s Word is for everyone, and we work together to ensure that all can participate fully, growing in their own faith and forming a close relationship with God. If you would like to know more about the ministry, please do not hesitate to contact: signing@rhema.co.uk. You must have BSL skills to at least Level 2

Free Parking

During church hours, there is free parking for 50 cars in the Masonic Hall car park in their Stanton Road car park. Easiest way to access this car park is to turn first left (almost opposite WCBC as you come around the corner from Croydon town centre) into Oakfield Road and then first right into Stanton Road. The car park is on the left and a Rhema Usher will be there to help you. This is on a first come first served basis. The car park is not free, Rhema are picking up the bill to make parking a little easier for all but even if you don't get into that car park this frees up 50 spaces elsewhere. There are some Sundays not available they are: Sunday 23rd April
